I personally would avoid the trip with him if at all possible. Pups really need a calm environment without alot going on while they are settling in to their new home, which is hard enough to achieve without trips. Even the slightest thing can throw them off during their adjustment period--including throwing off their willingness to eat, thus making them veuneralble for potentially serious issues with hypoglaucimia.
