So this is kind of off-topic, but related at the same time. I've heard that if you get the animal as a baby (puppy in this case) you become more immune to the allergies you once had. (kind of confusing I know, but bare with me)

I have been allergic to cats all my life.. horrible itchy eyes, running nose, sneezing constantly. Well at my apartment complex we could only have cats and I wanted a pet so badly since I was living there alone. So I got a siamese kitten (he was 9 weeks old).. plus I also heard that siamese are not as bad for allergies.. So we got him. He stayed out of my bedroom most of the time and def off my bed. I've never reallly had too much of a problem with him. He does now sleep with me on my bed and it works fine.. so I'm kind of immune to him since I've had him since he was a baby. I think their dander and fur is different then..

Just thought i'd throw that thought in. Hope it all works out!
