Help!! Anyone...myleigh Is Not Acting Right.... I have a love hate relationship with this section of the forum. I LOVE that it here for me and the pups and I LOVE it when I am reading it just to learn but I HATE IT when I have to post on it, which seems like ever since we got the baby I have no free time and if I do get to come on here this is the section I visit………BUT THANK GOD people like you are here….
I need some help and as usual my little ones only get sick after hours so those that are viewing this in the wee hours of the AM thank you…….I’m a nervous wreck and trying to type as fast as I can to get this posted so I am going to put out the facts and go back and add some facts after I get this out…Myliegh is Yorkie #2, she is 5 moths old and was sick from the day we got her from the day we brought her home…worms, fleas, etc………..We got over that and all has been pretty good however looking back I see that her drinking more water then normal has been going on for about 2 weeks or so…..I had also noticed an increase in urine output however……..more water = more urine………other then that all seemed OK, we live in FL so I didn’t really look to much into it. Looking back I ma kicking myself…No problems eating, playing, annoying her big brother or being a puppy….my observation is the past week she has been laying by her water bowl and drinking, then go over to the same place by the wall sitting down and stretching all the way out then back over to the water. Earlier today is when I just sort of noticed a change. Ears went down , kind of mopey and noticed she had not touched her dry food I had down so I gave her some chicken and she inhaled it, over to he water, laid by the bowl, drink the water, pee, water, pee………and all in all she just looks sad…BUT, no sleep and I havent seen her sleep in the past 24 hours and when she does lay down it seem like if takes her a long time to get comfortable and she always seems to end up a long stretched out position. She ate and kept it all down. She is right here laying by me and I know something isn’t right. I am a people nurse and don’t try to diagnosis my pups but I am wondering if I am looking at a Urinary tract infection, hypoglycemia, bladder infection..?????……….she has not been panting but laying down she looks like she is breathing pretty fast. NOT labored at all but fast and quick. I know puppies have a faster heart rate and such but I am just all out of idea and scared and do I take her to the ER??? Am I able to wait 4 hours until my vet opens??? I would never be able to live with myself if something happens. I’m not going to go to sleep. ..Any ideas, comments, direction, ANYTHING is appreciated….We are a nervous wreck and I hate seeing either of my babies like this….. |
