Chrissy's coat (one in photo) stayed that way from the time she was like 5 months till the rest of her life. It just never grew. It was fine and just stayed short. I tried oil and that did not even work.
Don't forget pups do also look like their grandparents, not just the parents , and can skip a generation and look exactly like the grandparent and nothing like their parents at all. I have seen this time after time. That is why it is so important to know lines. If it is an outcross - it is anyones guess.
