The main problem I have with the CKC is that a person could buy a puppy from a great AKC breeder who has spent years developing the line and only sells AKC limited registration, meaning the puppies should not be bred. The person could go ahead and breed the dog, and while it wouldn't be eligible for AKC the CKC would gladly register it. This happens all the time, and I think it's the same as stealing. A good breeders line is very valuable asset, and if someone wants breeding rights they should pay for them, however, many can't get breeding rights from a good breeder at any price, so they go about it this way. I wouldn't want anything to do with a registry that would register just any dog.
