I used to take my dogs to a vet that also bred Yorkies. I don't know the exact number but it was 40 or so dogs. They also boarded animals. Most of their dogs were kept at the office/boarding facility. Employees provided a lot of the care and as far as I could tell, their facility was very good and the dogs were always in good shape and well groomed. I'm saying this to offer an explanation of how many dogs can be cared for. I know it doesn't speak to time spent with them which, to me, is very important. I haven't looked at the OP's website; just relating something that I know about personally. I'm aware of many members' opinions and am not trying to change anyone's mind. It's up to the individual to decide if they agree with certain breeding practices. I just wanted to point out that there are ways to care for a large number of animals and there may be some circumstances where the reality may not be as bad as it sounds. Also, I'd like to welcome the OP to YorkieTalk. It's a great site and hopefully we'll have something to offer you as well as hearing your input.
