it is hard to make the pups not chase the cats, but eventually, over time they will probably get used to each other, I know mine did and my cat was a stray who just showed up just like this one. Now they sleep together and love one another.

This is SO encouraging!! Now I wonder if Tootsy ( how close are our babies names!!) will ever get to that stage when she would allow a CAT to sleep with her!! It may happen, I suppose. Toots looks outraged when I take food to the cat! LOL!
