Well, I bought the metal clips, put one in, and in one or two shakes and rubs of the head ---it was out! So frustrating! It was the kind that I believe you are talking about. ---push it open, and put it on and then push to close it, and push to open it. the top part is like a vee with a hole in it, and the bottom part clips into the hole when one pushes it!
How frustrating this is. She is a stinker on this one. Maybe eventually she will just accept them and quit trying to get them out. Meanwhile, I guess it's just a rubber band. I will keep trying to put the clips in, as least the metal ones, she can't chew up right away. The plastic ones she chews immediately, and they are toast!
