I talked to the yorkie owner. According to his side of the story, it involves the (highly corrupt) police department. Apparently a girlfriend of the brother of a detective told alot of people that she "is gonna steal that dog". She has a dalmation and is rumoured to be a "drinker". This opened up a can of worms. The yorkie is 1.5 years old and is 10 lbs!!!

Wow, this sounds like something for 20-20. You are a saint for helping this woman out. Just be careful. Sounds like some heavy-duty corruption could be involved. I wonder if the media would be interested. Cops, girlfriends, corruption and a cute dog. I'd see the movie! If you go that direction, get as many facts together as you can, court records, names and numbers of potential sources. Let us know how it comes out. And I repeat, be careful.
