Okay Im not sure what this is all about I didnt read the post your referring to.
IMO I would try to avoid any surgery at all. Not only is the surgery itself a risk but just the putting a puppy under anesthetic can have horrible affects.
Both of my dogs are spayed/neutered and I HATED the thought of them going under, and knowing the things i know now about it all I question wether I would have did it or not. So scary. I hope the poster of the thread u refer to thinks long and hard and researches. Second opinions are very important, Vets are human and can look past stuff and for your puppys sake Id say its worth looking into.
