as for our Daisy, front seat made NO difference to her, ,nor did up high a car seat where she could see out,, or me holding her on my shoulder up high,, only the Cerenia works,, with NO side effects,, only thing,, its not to be given over 5 days running,,,which is fine for us,, our trips are generally weekend trips,, so she gets one Friday, one late Sunday and generally a 4 hr ride,, BTW,, our vet also told me i could try BONINE (human car sick medicine you buy over the counter) not Dramine,, but BONINE,, does not make them sleepy, and for her he said try half a tablet,, but she is near 10 lbs i've tried it on short trips like to the vet,etc,, and it kept her from throwing up but she did get "drooly" which she doesnt do with the Cerenia,, i'm guessing its not as strong or works some differently,, but both are just to stop the throwing up reflex in them,, best of luck!!
