When my hubby & I got engaged (15 years ago!) he bought me a ring from a Jeweller friend that was closing down his shop so he got a good price...then when we were getting married (we were only 20!) we couldn't afford an expensive wedding ring for me..so my hubby got one of his rings he didn't wear anymore and had it melted down and made into my wedding ring...means much more to me than any expensive ring.
