I tried a few different treats with Harley in the beginning, and while she usually ate them, she didn't get real excited about them and it was hard to keep her attention for training with them, including peanut butter.
But I came across Zuke's Mini Naturals (I think from a post on here) and ordered a small bag in each flavor (chicken, peanut butter, and salmon) and she LOVES them.
I had to cut some up for her class last night and as I was carrying them into the kitchen, she saw the bag and was bouncing and whining and running, waiting for me to give her one of them.
That's how you think a dog is supposed to act for any treat, but Harley only does it for Zuke's.
(She also did not care for the instructor/trainer's homemade liver treats which all the other dogs in the class loved) |
