I haven't shown in UKC, but I will tell you what a judge told me when I showed Sheba in puppy... I was told that a judge has a little more leeway if the dog is in puppy vs. bred by as they are judged as adults in that class. In Yorkies this is a big deal, because of how our breed matures. JMO - but I would show in the puppy class.
