I agree that the surgery should not be rushed into. Would you put a child through surgery without doing all of the tests first? Probably even getting a second opinioin.
What happens if your vet does not find a shunt? If he does tell you there was not shunt, I guess there goes your suit against the breeder.
Hope the little guy does okay with the surgery. Putting these dogs under is always a risk.
