Riley was having episodes every 5 days or so. Unfortunately there were small amounts of blood and kind of a fatty substance. He would continue to eat, drink and act normally during this time. The vet thought it may have been some inflammatory bowel disease which is a chronic condition. However, after some blood work, she found that he had an imbalance of liver vs pancreatic digestive fluids. A few weeks of drugs and the problem subsided for the most part (maybe 1 diharrea episode per 2 or 3 weeks). Finally, it just disappeared altogether and he has been very healthy ever since.

I would never say that diharrea is normal, and if it persists for more than a few days you should have him checked out just to be safe.
