I had read somewhere awhile back that his dad was banned years ago when he was on Star Search. It said something about him trying to intimidate the other contestants. The article also talked about how he tried to get the child who ended up winning to drink milk or something before the show.
I feel so bad for David, his dad sounds like one of those stage parents. He seems like such a sweet kid!
