awww he doesn't hate you, he just doesn't know you yet. Give him some time. When we brought Jake home, he was a little scared at first. We let him explore his surroundings, and then we got in the floor and played with him. Next thing we knew, he learned how to fetch! I held him alot and talked really softly to him. Even today, a year and a half later, he still loves when I snuggle him and talk to him. That's how he goes to sleep at night.
Try hand feeding him a few pieces of his dry food to see if you can get him interested in it. I did that the first couple days with Jake, as I was afraid he wasn't eating enough. After that, he just ate on his own.
