Thank you so much for responding, I really appreciate it.
I had more sleep last night. He did sleep next to me again, but was more subdued. He wanted to snuggle right by my stomach! LOL.
He was paper trained at the breeder's, but I'm taking him outside and trying out the pee pads...hasn't worked yet. If I catch him, I pick him up and place him on the pad and repeat, "potty". But if I don't catch him, I just clean up and disinfect.
He didn't eat in the morning, but did lick my hand as I was trying out the pee pad. He also stayed on the bed when it was my turn to go, rather than shoot right up and whine to get off the bed, like yesterday. So either more confidence, or lethargy from not having eaten yesterday.
He ate most of his food at lunch and drank, so that's a good sign...that he doesn't want to be anorexic? LOL.
He still recoils when I pick up, not every interested in any of his toys. The only thing he seems to want to do is stay on my lap. He does like to climb up on my neck, so I make sure to stroke him and and say his name.
He's 15 weeks, was the runt of his littler and his siblings were bigger and too rough on him, so he was put in another litter with girls. I can only take the breeder's word that he was indeed cuddled and taken care of. He's not at all aggressive, has good temperament (did the paw/belly test) and has liked a few strangers' fingers. He even let me pry his mouth open this morning to brush his teeth.
I'm just so tired. Going out soon to play in the yard, tire him out and make him a bit hungry.
Thanks again.
