Default Thanks for your reply

Hi yorkiedaze,

Thanks for your reply. I printed off some copies of the articales you sent me a link for. I am not listening to her and I am continuing to home feed her, even though she talks like she KNOWS that Wellness is human grade food, from personal experience. I did buy a can or two just to have in the house because she was making me feel so guilty. She told me two of Cassie's teeth were loose because of home feeding. I explained that Cassie was 14 months old and I just got her two months ago and only started home feeding about a month to 6 weeks ago, and she said Yorkie's teeth degrade really quickly, implying I was the cause of the loose teeth. I didn't think I had her long enough for that to happen, but she says it is so.

Anyway, my concern is adding the supplements to her food, not feeding her dog food which I am not going to do. I made up the recipie as she suggested-a combination of kale, spinach, broccoli, and pumpkin, chicken, and a starch (rice, potatoes, etc.). One third each food group. But Cassie will not eat her food when I add in the supplements, oils and concentrated greens-(this is a powder like the vitamin supplements) to her food, which she loves. I would like to give it to her some other way, disguise the taste. Feed it to her with a syringe-something other than adding it to her food. How can I do this? She is so extremely picky. Also, this Vet says she may have food allergies because she is always scratching around her face. The breeder never had a problem with excessive scratching and She fed her puppy chow her whole life. How do I find out what is going on here? Could it be something else? Maybe not a food allergy but some other allergy? How do I find out? Sorry for the rant, but you are so helpful. Thanks in advance. Shellie
