Hmmmm, I think mine will be fine then. I'm starting to think that the bag does not matter all that much, as long as the dog stays in it and can breathe.
And yeah, I cannot imagine take the hard one, it is pretty big and hard to carry. I know it would not fit under the seat so I don't know where I would put her.
