Hi all,

Oh this is so very confusing and frustrating. I hope hope hope somebody can help me. The Vet I go to (well, the Vet she hired to help her with her practice) tells me because Cassie is scratching her face she probably has food allergies and to not feed her beef anymore. She gave me a diet for home cooking to feed her but told me she didn't want me to really home cook because she thinks Cassie's not getting enough nutrients in what i feed her, and she wants me to put her on dog food. (She said two of her teeth are loose and she thinks she is not getting enough calcium.) I told her all the bad things about dog food and she like, practically shrieked that Wellness WAS a regulated dog food and has both human grade and pet grade inspectors. She says the food is made with human grade food. She states it is a very good food and she vouches for it and says to feed it to Cassie because she needs more nutirents than I am giving her.

I told her I want to home cook and have consulted with some people on YT and she says if I home cook she wants me to put in broccoli, kale, pumpkin and spinich. Okay, cooked some chicken, put in the rice, veggies and chicken in equal proportions. But now she wants me to add the dog food (first she said Wellness canned chicken, now she says Wellness canned Fish.) Also she wants me to give Cassie supplements, concentrated greens and TWO teaspoons of olive oil a day!!!!!!

So here is my problem. First- after reading all the stuff about the dog food I am still not convinced its the best way to go. Now after I added the concentrated greens, supplements, and olive or flax oil to the food along with some Wellness dog food, well, Cassie will not eat any of it. Just the food alone, with the Veggies she suggested and the chicken and rice-that she will eat, but after I finish adding all the other stuff-she will not eat.

Cassie is between 1.8 and 2.2 lbs full grown. I need to get food down her. Is there any way I can feed the concentrated greens and the BalanceIT vitamin supplements down her other than mixing it with her food? Some liquid I could dissolve it all in and feed it with a syringe? Some liquid she would like? Do anybody else have this problem? Also, she is still itching even with the chicken. She doesn't like when I add the oil to her food either. How do I get the oil into her? she's very picky. I don't know what to do. I asked her about a raw diet and she said Cassie is so far removed from her ancestor wolf connection that she feels her system could not handle raw, and she does not recommend it

Gosh I'm confused. What should I do about the itching? The Oil that she will not eat food with, the New diet she wants me to mix everything up in including homecooking, dogfood, supplements, concentrated greens. HELLLP someone-I'm overwhelmed!!! Thanks, Shellie
