Since this is your first litter, I'm assuming that you have not docked tails before. If you haven't, let a vet do it. It's not very expensive at all to get tails docked and dew claws removed. How old are they? I'm not a breeder, but I was under the impression that it should be done within the first three days of the pups being born.
