These dogs are, in fact, living in her apartment ILLEGALLY. At my complex you are allowed 2 animals MAX. She has these 2 large dogs and 2 cats. From speaking with her personally, I also found out she has not paid the pet deposit on any of her pets. If the complex found out she was keeping 4 animals they would force her to get rid of 2 and pay over $1000 in fees for the other ones she kept. They may even evict her. This is also a problem with complaining to management, they would come down on her hard and force her to fork over lots of money. This on top of our already ridiculous rent would no doubt clean her out. While I don't agree with her having the dogs if she is not able to pay the pet deposit, I know how hard it is being a struggling colleghe student. I was lucky enough to have my grandmother help me with my deposit for Abbey.
I also hate my management and the way they handle things. They most likely would not be concerned for my dog but more concerned with collecting money...they are money hungry.
For this reason, I am choosing to keep it between me and her, bc she is more likely to listen to me if I am calm with her. She knows I have the power to get her lots of fines, soooo chances are she won't mess up again and will keep them on leashes.
