I agree with this ...if they were vicious you wouldn't have a dog anymore

she needs to NOT hit them for something like this - it only instills fear & it's her fault all the way cause they weren't on a leash -

TALK TO HER - tell her how you feel and about her hitting them and say her dogs HAVE TO BE ON A LEASH or you'll be forced to report it. You can stay friends as long as she gets responsible. It sounds like she felt terrible and she should - it was her fault...but things can be resolved if she does her part and quits letting them run free.

That's what happened to the girls and I while we were on our walk - a pitt OFF LEASH charged us (I grabbed the girls and held them under my chin) & while I wasn't scared - I was waiting for a chuck of my body to be removed by very sharp teeth - but no way was that dog getting my girls
