I feel so bad for Layla because I just can't seem to figure out what is causing her allergies. I've been told for her whole life that it's food allergies. The first vet had me put her on Medi-Cal Hypoallergenic food.... but she still got ear infections constantly and was always biting her nails. Then I moved and couldn't find Medi-Cal food, and I found out that this food wasn't the greatest, and I had a period of switching between a few other foods... Royal Canin, Nutro... nothing changed. Then I had her on Orijen 6 Fish and she seemd to not be SO bad anymore. She still chewed her paws occationally and scratched at her ears. For the past few months I haven't been able to get the 6 Fish so she's been eating just Orijen Adult for about a month... and it seems like she is CONSTANTLY chewing her little feet, and scratching at her chin. When she lays down on my I scratch her back and she always stretches her head out like "Ohhhh yeah that feels GOOD!" But on the plus side, since switching to Orijen she hasn't had any ear infections.
I want my baby to stop itching but I'm not sure how to go about it. She seems to have at least some reaction with EVERY food. From looking at the ingredients I'm not really sure what it could be... Potato maybe? Is that a common food for allergies?
