Tootsy is ALWAYS doing this and I would love to know why, too. I assume it must be an instinctive thing to dig the 'hole' they are sleeping in, to make it more comfortable? Tootsy digs the cushion like crazy trying to make it into a different hollow shape. LOL! She also 'digs' in her blanket which I make into a warm pad on top of her cushion (spoilt dog!!). The blanket gets all messy and lumpy and then she doesn't want to sleep on it. I have to get out of bed and put it all right for her!
