Its heartbreaking to watch your babies cower in fear isn't it? Mine are not afraid of storms at all, they don't even notice when it thunders.. however one of my boys is TERRIFIED of my dishwasher. Just MINE though. Any other house with a dishwasher running he is fine, but not at his own house. It breaks my heart though. I don't baby him and I don't pick him up and Ive often tried to sit on the floor near the dishwasher or give him a treat if he comes close to me while Im close to the dishwasher but nothing has helped... when its running he is at my feet or as close to me as he can get and shakes soooo hard! I don't want to coddle him and inadvertantly encourage this fear, but I also can't stand to watch him suffer in such extreme fear by himself. He is afraid of trash bags also, but not as bad. He's also afraid of running water in the kitchen sink but again not as bad.

Oh yeah, and my 2 boys are the first dogs Ive ever owned who are not afraid of fireworks either... they watch them! haha
