I am a wreck already. I bought 0-3 month onesies and he is 4lbs. They fit him fine. (and he looks so cute!) As for the pottying. I don't know. I would think if you took him to the pad every 2 hours or so and unsnapped it for him you may be able to avoid accidents. We're still working on the pee accidents ourselves
