I wonder what they do with all of the colts, fillies, older horses, injured horses, etc that dont make the cut?? I am sure that there are not enough pet homes to take in injured horses off the track to go around. Maybe they just come out west and turn them loose kind of what they do to the greyhounds that dont make the cut. Lasix and Bute are still being used behind the scenes.

I believe they are shipped to other countries, such as Canada and Mexico as the slaughter of horses is now illegal (as of the last year or two) in the US.
