Four more days and I'm getting ready. I got a pen last week - an 8-panel x 2ft with a door. Dodger is completely paper trained, but being only 14 weeks, I'm not sure how well he'll do going outside. I'm planning on being with him Friday to Monday since I can work from home and starting Tuesday he'll be on his own.
So I have 2 questions:
Should I bother taking him outside at all since no one will be here while I'm out and I don't expect him to hold it until I return?
I'm thinking of creating a "poop" area: attach a small crate to the opening of the cage and place the paper/pee pads there. This way he'll have more room to play and the poop will be confined. Has anyone tried this?

PS - Piptickle, have you picked up your pup yet? How are you doing? |
I have Hot Rod's crate attached to the pen so that opened the pen some more. His pad with the holder is in the pen. There still is plenty of room for him to roam around in. The pen is set up by the slider to the sunroom so he can see out to the backyard and trees. Hope this helps. Can't wait to see pictures. Have you picked out a name?
