I had a pup's head stuck in my last litter. Tiah had cleaned it off and even severed the cord. She was doing so well that I just kept checking on her with as little interference as possible. When I checked this particular time I thought that the pup was laying with his head UNDER her.

Then I realized the head was STUCK! She wasn't having any contractions at all (you NEVER pull without a contraction). I just used my fingers and slid the skin back over the pup's head and he came out....not breating at ALL. I worked and worked with him and he is now 1 month old and THANK GOD, doing great! That is why I wanted to you learn more about what to do to save a life. I know some of the posts of mine seemed not all too rosy and no one made comments on them, but they are things that happen. My heart goes out to Breny and her girl...how very sad. Still praying you have a safe, healthy, "uneventful" delivery. If she is still eating good, not digging or even trying to scratch her sides by rubbing them on the bottom of your couch while walking the distance of it back and forth, and has no other pre-labor symptoms, she probably won't have them today. Put your hand on her belly (cup it over the largest part), apply a hint of pressure and keep it there. The pups may get active due to the heat of your hand. Keep it there for even 5 minutes (they may be sleeping

). Let us know if you feel anything.
