I graduate Saturday May 10th. No one in my family, other than my mom is bothering coming. I'm the first college grad on all sides of my family. I'm proud of myself even if no one else is.
On Sunday May 11th (mothers day), my great nephew is being "dedicated" at the church. I REALLY do not want to travel 3 hrs away just to see him be "dedicated" but MOM wants to go (its her first great grandchild) and I feel bad for not spendng the day w/ her.
Everyone is acting like I'm being a butt for not wanting to go.. but why should I? He hasn't done much of anything (other than being a cute baby). I've worked my butt off the last few yrs to get through and pay for college on my own.., yet no one wants to come. |
HAPPY GRADUATION !!!!!!!!!!!! and you are NOT A BUTT ! I'd be hurt too - this is a HUGE DAY FOR YOU ! CONGRATULATIONS and maybe they'll surprise you and be there ??? I know if you were my kid I wouldn't miss it for the world !!
