I've come across alot of different breeds through my volunteering at the animal shelter, rescueing, and fostering. The ONLY dog I've ever been frightened of was one of my family members cocker spaniel. That dog tried to chew my face off every time he saw me, all because he wasn't socialized as a puppy.
I own a PIT BULL (oh the HORROR.. look at her in my avatar..she's just sooo scary

). WHY do I own her? Because I choose to look past the myths and media hysteria about the breed. I saw a sickly 5 wk old puppy that would ultimately die if I hadn't rescued her. I'm saddened some people think she deserves to die just because of her breed. She's my big baby and would never hurt me or anyone else. She is my "heart dog" and I just dont' know what I'd ever do without her. Everytime I look at her I think of how lucky I am to have her.
