She will probally wait till you are home,My last girl waited all day at work with me and was not in the house 30 min and went in her room and had her babies. They want you there just like you wanted your mom. |
This is definitely not true for all dogs. Remi isn't ready for any of the other dogs to visit her puppies. She will grow at them when she comes out to stretch her legs just to let them know how she feels. Teddi who is due on Monday will try to put her front feed on Remi to show dominance and will race to get to the bathroom where Remi's pups are housed. She has nipped at Remi's pups when they were very young before. She would probably kill them if she were allowed to as it is her instict to secure the resources for her own pups. Please let your gal lead you on when she is ready for other dogs to be near her babies. Even in the wild mom's keep their pups apart until they are able to walk.
