The real nightmares of showing are far worse than anything that I could dream!
1. Like the morning of a show no running water in the hotel and having to go rent another room in a different hotel to bathe my dog.
2. Having a judge change from a good judge that I know likes my dog to a judge that doesn't like me at all because it was my duty to collect the hot check she wrote to my local kennel club!
3. Having a judge give Winners to a dog that was drug across the ground and then being told by handlers all the stuff that ppl do to their dogs to be able to show them. Stuff like fake testicles, wired ears, etc. This was a death of a dream to me. Before that I thought that Ch. meant something for every dog that has it, but man was I wrong. Put it w/ the right handler and boom you have a top ranked dog.
But I will ad that the joys of showing have far outwayed the nightmares!
