I have a 12 week old puppy and we are going through the same thing with Bear....It has been 1 week since I brought him home and he has already started to show signs of being potty trained!!...I have to admit tho that it has been a very stressful week but well worth it!!...I just kept a watch on him to see what he does and when he does his "deeds" It helps that I am a stay at home mom so I can really watch him good...but I have noticed that Bear goes first thing in the morning and yes you have to sit outside with him until he goes & does both "deeds" otherwise he will go on my carpet!! ugh!! but after that I just take him out about every 20 minutes and I make a big deal out of it I clap my hands and say lets go potty, lets go potty and I walk to the door...I think Bear is getting the hang of it because now he waits for me to put my shoes on!!...smart little cookie!! Just hang in there and give the little guy the love he needs and he wll eventually come around....be paitent and consistent! and watch for the signs!
