I just got her a couple of days ago, someone my aunt worked with was going to put her to sleep cause she can't use her back legs, she just drags them.. the thing is I have 2 other yorkies.. and Im terrified of them catching it. But, she is eating fine.. are these the symptoms of parvo? and if so.. how do I get it out of my house and yard? |
Parvo isnt something to mess around with! My dog Kelsey had a mild case of it..I caught it very early on and she was ok. I would recommend taking her anywhere you can ASAP! Most bad cases of Parvo are fatal within 48 hours. It is a very serious disease! I had to have my dog hospitalized for 4 days, with I.v.'s b/c she was dehydrated and she had very little diareaha. If your dog has blood in it's diareaha I definitley would suggest you take her to the hospital as soon as you can. Im not trying to scare you...but please dont let your other dogs around this dog and make sure your dog drinks a lot of water (to keep hydrated) and is holding it's food down....please pay close attention to it's behavior also!
