Gracie pretty much let me know that she wanted a playmate to keep her company. I have not regretted getting a second for one minute. Rather than choose by sex, choose by temperament. You don't want to get a dog that is more of a pack leader than what you have now. Your current dog should be leader of its pack. Take your current baby with you to the breeder's to pick out your new one if you can. If not, be sure and let your breeder know what personality your current dog has so that an appropriate choice can be selected.
