Ok, I just read that thread on roached backs. I paid $1500 for this dog with limited AKC papers. I think I paid too much for a dog with a flaw. What would you guys do?
sounds like this dog has a roached back. It isn't a medical condition but it is a genetic defect. Yorkies are suppose to have a straight topline. Yes, $1500 is a lot to pay for a yorkie with a flaw. When you go to pick out a pup, run your hand across it's back. There should be NO upward arch what-so-ever. Your hand should run straight across it's back.

how old is your dog? do you have pictures that you can post.

it is possible that the breeder knew of this flaw and that's why it was sold with limited papers.
