Is she used to roaming free ? I am no help with this but maybe letting her stay in a section of the kitchen would work if you feel she'd be safe there - Mine would howl too if I crated them but I didn't crate train - if you have - then maybe she'll get used to it...
I think it a decision that you have to make based on what she's used to and safety....poor baby - I know they can sure howl loud too
