EXACTLY. And you know how you think you're always paying attention to stuff when it's on the stove???? I can't tell you how many times I dragged my poor bird's cages out to the patio b/c I put a pan on the stove and forgot about it.....
I've also heard of the fumes killing a person. I'm not sure if it was ever validated, but that's what they thought had happened.
Edit to say: it wasn't just normal cooking in the pans; it's when they're overheated.
