my 13 wk old was starting to get into a nippy phase around 9 weeks. Telling her "no" doesn't have much effect, but a sharp "AH AH!" gets her to stop immediately (I learned this watching TV...dogs don't understand english so "no" is meaningless but "ah ah!" said sharply simulates a bark type sound that they understand as a reprimand.) Now when she starts to open her mouth I only have to get one "Ah!" out and she stops immediately. |
