I agree that their are alot of good breeders who have dogs registered with other registries.
I happen to buy my dogs on looks and size....not necessarily their pedigree... sometimes even champion backgrounds get lost with each generation... the registry is an afterthought.
I have some AKC dogs but that's not why I purchased them.
If you are happy with your yorkie and it's healthy that is all that really matters, isn't it???
OK, what was the original question?????..... Probaby the breeder didn't want to pay the AKC fees... her/his choice.
.... and your pup and future pups by her cannot be AKC registered.
