Joey does this too, and it scares me to death, the vet said it was nothing. It's definitely an excitement thing with Joey, I don't leave him much, but every time I do, I come home to a baby that seems like he's going to suffocate. I've tried many things, for example, ignoring him (this was sooooooooo hard). There are many articles on separation anxiety, and what to do for it, and that was the first suggestion, but it didn't really seem to help. Now, when I get home, I get down to his level, and talk to him calmly as possible. I try not to make a big deal of me coming home or act excited to see him, and then I try to detract him. He use to do this when his daddy got home, but it was never as intense, and it seems to have gotten better over time.
I do think they can read our feelings, and if we feel intense, they probably do too. |
