I Love YorkieTalk Because..... Because....since my closed head injury 9 years ago I don't do well in social situations. Most of my old friends have moved on because of the way I am now. I do not communicate well verbally and because of the meds that I rely on to function on a daily basis to control my brain function, I don't always say the correct thing. YT has given me a way to communicate with others in a new and exciting way. I can express myself better through typing thoughts than verbally. The only thing that got me through the first 5 or 6 years was having my dogs. My job was taking care of them and learning about them. Thanks to the people here I have learned so much more than I ever would have from reading books. Now I'm having other health problems that make it difficult for me to travel for long periods (we had to cancel KC because of it) & I'm trying not to let it get me down. Oh well, just more time to be spent here, I guess.
Most of the time I lurk & just read threads, not knowing if my input would help the person or not...or just hoping that if my response was helpful someone would comment and say so. I have also learned so much about faith and the power of prayer. I truly believe that there is pure good in so many focusing positive thoughts at one time for one individual.
There are many of you that I consider friends & several of you are my daughter's in my heart.
Thank You, Cindy, for this thread, it could not have come on a better day.
It is here that I choose to celebrate my 2000 post, never thought I would get this far! |
