When they moved in, Cleo would bark at them if they were outside. I would only let her out for a few minutes at a time if they were out because I didnt want her barking at them. I completely understood why though. With that property being empty for so long, she assumed it was our land, shes a dog, she doesnt know what property lines are when the property is unoccupied. One day the man came over and asked to see my dad I was like "my DAD doesnt live here, but my HUSBAND does". He says "well then, let me speak to your HUSBAND". At this point I am pissed because he is one of "those" type that doesnt deal with women. He told my husband Cleo had been outside for 2 HOURS barking at him nonstop. Yeah right, I have NEVER left her outside for 2 hours. We have a fenced in backyard with about 2-3 acres between our houses. SO, a few days later, I was walking Cleo, and the neighbor lady was outside doing yardwork with her son who was working a chainsaw. Cleo was upset. The lady came up to me, and I apologized for my dog barking, explained that my dog has never been out for 2 hours before, rather maybe 10 minutes, and told her that Cleo is just not used to anyone living there. She was rather unsympathetic, but bent down to pet Cleo. She was wearing gardening gloves and Cleo is terrified of gloves and hoods. Cleo nipped at her, missed, but still, the lady was clearly irritated. I dont tolerate dogs that bite, but that lady obviously hates her, not to mention her son was standing behind her holding a running chainsaw, while she had gloves on. Thats scarey to a little dog.
Now they are always standing in their yard staring at my house, all the time. I HATE it. I need a privacy fence just on that side. Its like they have nothing better to do than to stare at my house and complain.
ewww, I thought if I was able to afford a house I won't have to worry about a nasty neighbor but I was wrong!!!
I feel for you.
Hope your neighbor won't bother you too much.
And I know what you mean by "that type who doesn't deal with woman."
What an @#%hole!!!!
