Question Feeding Schedules and Amounts...help!

My hubby and I both work during the day and we're having a hard time figuring out when and how much to feed out 3mo old. We work too far from home to come home on lunch breaks to feed the puppy so we have no choice but to feed once in the morning anytime between 6:30am and 7:00am and then once when we get home from work around 6:30pm. Right now I give him about 1/2 of a measuring cup that holds 1/3 cup. He scarfs that down in a few minutes, barely breathing then a little while later he starts dry heaving and burping. After that he's fine and he goes on his merry way. Should we look into a one of those self feeders so he can nosh during the day and not have a set meal time? I read that yorkies will eat until they can't anymore as long as food is there so I was worried about that idea. Right now I'm feeding him this food from Petsmart called Nutro Ultra dry puppy food. It's all organic and he loves it...a lot! Thanks in advance for everyone's input!!!
