Your fast, motherly reaction kept your baby out of harm's way. I always fear if something like that were to happen to me I wouldn't react quick enough. I have stopped walking my Lexie in the neighborhood because my neighbor's small dog was recently killed by a loose pitbull. She walked her dog faithfully every morning and evening. I was told Animal Control found the pit, but I still won't take any chances. We're lucky to have a big yard and house that they get plenty of exercise, and we'll take them to the dog park or beach on occasion (but that's even scary sometimes). I'm sooo sorry for you both. I'm sure it was a scary situation. But good job on your part. |
