Because their hair is so similar to ours except for the ph I would think that it would act alot like ours when colored. The cortex of the hair is the same and the cuticle has to be at least roughed up for it to accept color for any length of time. Watch out with a hair stylist, even deposit only color will lift some pigment as it contains a developer that is from 5 to 8 percent peroxide. A temporary stain that is made for dogs would probably be your best bet.
